This week, we ask the question, “Can Atheists Learn From Religion?” This topic comes from a book and recent TED talk by Swiss Philosopher Alain de Botton. He suggests that atheists should borrow things from religion that they do well, and things that will help atheists further their movement. We introduce a new segment called “Name That Religion” where a religious ritual or belief is presented, and Jason must guess which religion or denomination it comes from. Our news story this week is about a re-enactment of Jesus’s crucifixion that takes place in the Philippines each year on Good Friday. Let us know what you think of this week’s podcast, and tell us about any topics you would like to hear discussed in the future.
